I was reading the news on Bangkok online. And Bangkok has declared a state of emergency.

Bangkok has always been my favourite place all time. I have been there nearly 10 times. Whenever I feel that I need a short break, Bangkok is always the first on my list. I miss my shopping at Siam Square, Chatuchat, the many other malls and wholesale centers, my fav food at MBK food court, the road side food hawkers, the sleeping late and the getting up early just for the sake of shopping, the tu-tu, the pink cabs, the massage, the pedi and medi, and the list goes on...
I still remember after a nearly 7 years break of not going to Bangkok, I went in Nov/Dec 2005 with my parents and other family members. That was crazy, was so into shopping that I spend nearly 1k in 4 days not including airfare and hotel.
The next time was in April 2006 with Serene, Lihua, Qing and her sis and cousin. That time we went was toward the end of the military coup. Really "bei kia si" for the sake of shopping and food. I was sharing room with Serene, both of us were sick and we "survived" the trip on our medication at night. Our day starts off with a heavy breakfast at the hotel, followed by shopping at different places, late lunch, back to hotel to freshen up and throw the morning half's purchases, then out we go for the second half shopping. The only time we were in the room is to bathe and sleep, other times, we are out shopping and eating.
The last time was in May 2007, I went with Dear. We take this as an "relaxing" trip. But ended up as usual, my luggage cant close. I really cant understand how come I can just buy and buy and buy and buy.
When will all these be stopped???? Thailand cleverly avoided all the invasions during wars etc in the past, but how come they cant stop themselves from fighting against one another???? If this is on-going, the ecomony of Thailand is going to suffer, the innocent Thais will suffer...
